>> About Equiwinner
Equiwinner
has been made available worldwide since June 2004.
In the short
time since then, Equiwinner has revolutionised the treatment
of common conditions in horses for which it was the previous expert
advice that there was no treatment.
Now
Equiwinner has saved hundreds of horses from bleeding, (exercise
induced pulmonary haemorrhage), including both family riding horses,
and racehorses worth millions. Not only has the bleeding been stopped,
but the horse always increases performance after Equiwinner.
Many owners have been spared the time and expense of getting injections
of Lasix or other drugs before every race, or other event. Owners
find it quite amazing that Equiwinner, which naturally resets
horse metabolism to normal and so clears the condition, can be so
much more powerful in its action than the strongest drugs.
The success of
Equiwinner is due to the fact that we have used the science
of aetiology, which we have developed by analytical methods, to find
the cause of debilitating conditions in horses, and to apply the appropriate
remedy.
It may be found
astonishing that aetiology, the science of the analysis of the cause
of common conditions affecting horses, is not taught as a subject
at any university, or veterinary school. Instead so many companies
manufacture products for conditions for which they are proud to say
"cause unknown".
But without aetiology,
an effective treatment for horses like Equiwinner, for bleeding,
non-sweating and headshaking, would never have been found. Horses
may have continued to suffer for hundreds more years.
The great feature
of Equiwinner is that it is not a drug. Drugs are substances
which are foreign to the body of the horse. However they are often
necessary, for example antibiotics to fight off infection. Equiwinner
uses signaling to restore natural innate immunity. It is the loss
of this innate immunity which both prevents proper sweating and also
causes the extra high blood pressure which in turn causes bleeding
and headshaking.
Equiwinner
will never test positive in any competition, race, event
or sport. You can order Equiwinner
with confidence, knowing that your horse will be restored to normal
health and optimum performance.
We know that Equiwinner
has a better than 99 per cent success rate with bleeding, a 100 per
cent success rate with sweating problems, and better than 85 per cent
success rate with headshaking.
Historical
Note:
All
our work at Equiwinner is based on the science of aetiology,
the investigation of the actual cause of a condition. For hundreds
of years horses have been found to be either non-sweating (anhidrosis)
or over-sweating in various areas of the skin. The cause has never
been known and correction of the condition very difficult or impossible.
For example, horses in hot climates such as Florida, USA or North
Queensland, Australia have had to be transported hundreds of miles
away to cooler climates because they could not sweat properly. This
used to be a big problem for owners, who often lost most of the value
of their horses.
The cause of the
ineffective sweating remained a mystery for so long because there
was always an incomplete understanding of the habituation of the sweat
glands and ducts. Horses were thought to be fit by measurement of
short periods of exercise. Now we know that a horse can only be fully
fit if the sweating system is also fully fit and well conditioned.
Now we have unravelled this long hidden mystery, and the result is
Equiwinner. Equiwinneris the only product which absolutely
guarantees to restore natural and effective sweating in a horse, improving
performance, and sometimes saving the horse altogether. Equiwinner
also stops the extra high blood pressure in horses under exertion,
thus stopping both bleeding and headshaking.

>> How To Use Equiwinner Patches
What is the
Equiwinner Patch?
For good health and optimum performance a horse requires normal homeostasis,
that is, the physiological stability achieved by normal negative feedback
systems. The demands of training very often leave the horse with impaired
feedback systems, which in turn may lead to serious and debilitating
conditions. The Equiwinner Patch uses revolutionary patented
Smart Cell Signal technology to restore normal homeostasis and full
performance.
Is the Equiwinner
Patch safe?
No banned substances are used in the Equiwinner Patch. There
is no chemical action on the body of the horse. No substance enters
or is metabolized within the body. The Equiwinner Patch works
by signaling only. There are no side effects. Use of Equiwinner
Patches for performance will not test positive in any sport.
What conditions
can the Equiwinner Patch correct?
1. Exercise Induced Pulmonary Hemorrhage (E I P H) including "bleeders"
or blood in the trachea (windpipe).
2. Headshaking for no known cause when the horse is exercised.
3. Fading effort or pulling up when an otherwise fit horse is asked
for performance.
4. Distress or refusal for no known reason when asked for increased
effort e.g. going from walk to canter.
5. Dry or dull coat from no apparent cause.
6. Overheating from lack of sweat (anhidrosis), or patchy sweating.
7. Equiwinner ensures full hydration and better performance.
8. Equiwinner prevents stress in the horse when travelling in
transport.
9. "Tying Up", also called azoturia or equine rhabdomyolysis.
How is the
Equiwinner Patch used?
1. Brush up and down a small area of coat on the body of the horse,
anywhere convenient such as on top of the hindquarter, but not the
head or legs. Wash and dry the area if there is coat molting, field
dirt or dander. Where coat sheen products, shampoos or oily sprays
have previously been used and the coat hairs are slippery, it may
be necessary to clean an area with pure alcohol or surgical spirits
(not methylated spirit), or a detergent.
2. Take one Equiwinner Patch and remove the covering to expose
the sticky area, taking care not to dislodge the two signaling centers.
3. Stick the Equiwinner Patch on the cleaned area, and press
firmly.
4. Leave this Patch on for approx. 24 hours, then remove and discard
it.
5. Immediately place another Equiwinner Patch in any different
cleaned position for a further 24 hours.
6. Continue to discard and put a new Equiwinner Patch in a different
cleaned position each 24 hours, for a total of ten days.
7. Only one patch should be used at any one time.
8. Please keep the horse in the shade 10am to 4pm in very hot climates.
How
many courses of Equiwinner Patch are recommended?
Daily use of the Equiwinner Patch for ten days should normally
be sufficient for the horse for a whole season, or up to twelve months.
It is important that the Equiwinner Patch is changed every day,
as described above, for ten days. Trainers of high performance horses
may use Equiwinner up to 4 times per year.
Further information
1. It is not necessary to clip or shave the coat. If the horse has
long coat hair then simply part the hair so that the two Equiwinner
Patch signalling centers are close to the skin.
2. Some coat hair is lost when the Equiwinner Patch is removed,
but this is normally hardly noticeable.
3. Do not place the Equiwinner Patch under a saddle, girth,
or other tack. This would cause discomfort. On top of the level part
of the hindquarter (croup) is often best.
4. The Equiwinner Patch may be covered by the horse’s usual
rug, sheet or blanket.
5. A horse will not normally interfere with the Equiwinner Patch.
If the horse goes to bite the Equiwinner Patch, and the Equiwinner
Patch cannot be placed out of reach of the mouth, then covering by
a rug, sheet or blanket must be used. This also needs to be done if
a companion horse tries to remove the patch.
6. In very cold weather the coat hair may stand up and tend to push
the Equiwinner Patch away from the skin. In this case, use a
rug or blanket to keep the skin at normal temperature.
Training and
Competition
Provided the horse is not distressed, it is beneficial to continue
the horse’s usual program of training or exercise, whilst using the
Equiwinner Patch for the ten days. Horses being treated for
EIPH bleeding should have moderate exercise only for the ten days,
and then be brought up to full fitness gradually over the following
five days. This procedure ensures that existing scar tissue in the
lungs can fully heal without being put under pressure. The Equiwinner
Patch can be removed from the horse for the period of an actual competition
or race, without detriment, since the effect persists. Replace the
Equiwinner Patch in another spot after participation in the
event has finished. The Equiwinner Patch can also be used for
health maintenance when the horse is out of work. Another suitable
time is when the horse is going to be put back into training after
a period of rest, or before competition for maximum performance.
Safety and
Disposal
Keep the Equiwinner Patch out of reach of children and animals.
After use, the Equiwinner Patch should be disposed of carefully
as normal household or commercial waste.
